Green Bay Packers

Best value of the weekend goes to the Packers for Carson: A-.

The real work happened on the phones. The Packers fleeced their trade partners, turning their picks into a noticeably bigger pile than they started with. Just about everything broke right, and the A- follows.

A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. They banked enough surplus on Carson to cover a lot of smaller sins.

Bottom line, with Tyler Nubin leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.

Pick-by-Pick

R2.9 · Pick 41 · Tyler Nubin · S · rank 33
They read the board right and Tyler Nubin was the payoff at No. 41. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
R3.25 · Pick 88 · Caelen Carson · CB · rank 70
They robbed the room for Caelen Carson here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
R3.29 · Pick 92 · Marist Liufau · LB · rank 91
They paid sticker price for Marist Liufau in the Round 3 slot, and that is fine. A minor itch, scratched.
R4.25 · Pick 125 · Dominick Puni · OT · rank 109
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Dominick Puni at the 125th overall pick is the proof. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
R4.28 · Pick 128 · Will Shipley · RB · rank 114
Value with a capital V on Will Shipley in slot 128, a genuine coup. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
R4.35 · Pick 135 · Sataoa Laumea · OT · rank 128
Sataoa Laumea in pick 135 lands just on the right side of the ledger. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
