When the story of this class is written, it opens with Jaylen Wright at the 103rd overall pick, a reach of 60 spots that the board flatly disagrees with. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.
The Polk value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
With edge rusher, cornerback and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on safety is the choice that costs them.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
Pick-by-Pick
Good price on Kamren Kinchens in the Round 2 slot, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Jackson Powers-Johnson at slot 41 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. The roster fit checks out.
