They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Drake Maye is the Patriots' quarterback, full stop. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.
Getting Jones where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
