The Chargers bet big and early on George Gumbs Jr., 182 picks ahead of the board. Bold does not always mean right. A weekend of give and take that grades a C+.
That Nwaiwu pick is the receipt they will wave around later. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain.
Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
If KC Concepcion and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
