The rest of the league will want that one back. Jadarian Price tumbling to the Giants in the Round 4 slot is a gift they did not have to think twice about. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.
The cost of the Stowers reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The wide receiver spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but wide receiver.
Pick-by-Pick
By-the-book stuff, Francis Mauigoa at pick No. 5 squarely in line with his ranking. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
They paid a round early for Eli Stowers in No. 37, more than the board wanted. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Jadarian Price at the 105th pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Jakobe Thomas in the Round 5 slot is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
They barely believed it either: Skyler Gill-Howard still on the board at Round 6, Pick 5. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Taking Drew Allar in slot 192 is close to grand larceny; a quarterback that good had no business lasting this long. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
A offensive lineman of that caliber at the 193rd overall pick is the definition of value, full stop. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
