The Cowboys treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending Round 7, Pick 2 on Fernando Carmona a full 60 spots early.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through wide receiver.

They banked enough surplus on Price to cover a lot of smaller sins. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Bottom line, they will be counting on several picks to beat their grades.
