The Chiefs did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Dwight McGlothern fell into Round 6, Pick 30. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.
Leaving tight end unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. If Eboigbe pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.
Good work on the whole, with tight end the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a home-run threat at receiver. Exactly the need they had to hit.
No edge and no loss on Patrick Paul in pick No. 64; it is a wash and a sensible one. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
A premium they did not need to pay, Isaac Guerendo a notch or two before his time. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
The board had cheaper options than Justin Eboigbe at the 133rd pick, and it noticed. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
