Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Chiefs spent the 250th pick on Walter Rouse, a name the board had a full 31 spots lower. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

The Solomon pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with tight end, quarterback and other spots still on the board. A whole weekend of picks and tight end is somehow still a want. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Burton.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the tight end spot they never got to.
