Call it larceny. J.C. Davis sat on the board until No. 128, and the Chiefs did not need to be asked twice.
Leaving tight end unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Bond reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.
The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the tight end spot they never got to.

In Round 1, Pick 32 they get a matchup problem out wide, though they paid up to get him. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
