B-
Houston Texans
No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the Texans.

Every other box got a look, but running back did not. The Texans will head to camp with the same hole they walked in with. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.
The Rice steal is the beam this whole class leans on. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 23 they get a blindside protector. A real need, handled.
A tidy little value on Ja'Tavion Sanders in the 59th overall pick, a step better than break-even. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Nice patience on Brenden Rice, who had no business lasting to Round 3, Pick 22. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Mohamed Kamara in the 123rd pick lands just on the right side of the ledger. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Justin Eboigbe at slot 127 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the edge rusher. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Chau Smith-Wade at pick No. 164 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Steele Chambers in pick 239 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
They did well to land Mark Perry in the Round 7 slot, just ahead of his grade. A minor itch, scratched.
