You could see the war room lean forward. Kitan Oladapo at the 180th pick is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The cost of the Holker reach is exactly the players who went right after him. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 3 they get a true top target. Exactly the need they had to hit.
A tidy little value on Bo Nix in the 34th pick, a step better than break-even. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
A slide stopped in pick 68, with Kingsley Suamataia worth more than the price. The roster fit checks out.
Marshawn Kneeland at the Round 4 slot is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
They liked Dallin Holker enough to skip the value, taking him in No. 137. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Circle this one: Kitan Oladapo at the 180th overall pick is a fall that decides a draft. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Kamal Hadden in Round 6, Pick 18 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It adds depth where they could use a little.
