Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Tre Harris got past him. The Texans do not have to explain a thing at No. 89.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through running back. Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered.
The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 25 they get a matchup weapon at tight end at a price that makes it sweeter.
Nick Emmanwori in the 58th overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
The board fumbled Tre Harris all the way to pick 89, and they scooped it up. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Emery Jones Jr. at Round 4, Pick 26 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It fills a real need, too.
A tidy bit of business in slot 167, where Jabbar Muhammad graded well above the range. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Jack Kiser in the 243rd pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
