This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Cam Skattebo, the No. 105 name on the board, stolen at slot 167. No fireworks, but a solid B.
They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with running back the one that mattered most.
Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 25 they get a matchup problem out wide at a price that makes it sweeter. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Aireontae Ersery in slot 58 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Chris Paul Jr. in the 89th pick is fair value, right on his grade. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
They will replay Deone Walker at No. 127 for years; that is how good the value is. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Steal is underselling it; Cam Skattebo at the Round 5 slot is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Kitan Crawford in Round 7, Pick 25 lands just on the right side of the ledger. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
