Everything else got attention, and cornerback got none. That is a strange way for the Packers to leave a draft.
If one pick saves this weekend, it is Guyton. Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 3 of 8 of the wish list covered.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but cornerback.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 25th pick they get a problem off the edge at a price that makes it sweeter. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
A quiet steal in Round 2, Pick 9: Tyler Guyton for less than the market said. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Edgerrin Cooper at the 58th overall pick is money in the bank, a linebacker taken below his worth. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
They paid sticker price for Dadrion Taylor-Demerson in slot 88, and that is fine. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Trey Benson in the Round 3 slot lands just on the right side of the ledger. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
