Marshall comes from a program that has seen its fair share of quality receivers entering the NFL and he will be hoping to follow in their footsteps (most recently Justin Jefferson). Certainly Marshall benefitted from fellow star Ja'Marr Chase's decision to sit out the whole of 2020 but he clearly felt he had done enough to secure his own profile before choosing to opt-out himself partway through the 2020 season to start preparing for the draft. Terrace has everything that you want to see in a receiver on the outside, being 6'3" with good proportions and speed coupled with great hands, ball skills, route running, and the ability to gain yards after the catch.

After playing mainly on the outside in 2019, he excelled in 2020 while taking over Justin Jefferson’s role in the slot. He would have been one of the most productive receivers in the country on a per-target basis were it not for seven drops on 55 catchable targets. He made a number of spectacular catches taking advantage of his massive catch radius.

Marshall is a 6-foot-3 former five-star recruit with 4.4 speed who we know is always going to be dangerous downfield and in the red zone.

The only weakness in his game is he can be sloppy running routes and tends to rely on his god-given talents too much.

The question will be whether he did enough during his brief starring role in 2020 to convince a team that he is more than just a deep threat and so call his name in the first round.

We expect he will be taken at the top of the second round.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
