The war room fell hard for Julius Welschof, and it showed at the 248th overall pick: 92 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas. No fireworks, but a solid B-.
They will answer for taking DT-EDGE early while interior defensive lineman, offensive lineman and other spots went begging. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
That Robinson pick is the receipt they will wave around later. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.

A reach on Jaheim Bell in the Round 4 slot; the board had better options right there. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
They let Ty'Ron Hopper come to them and pounced at slot 164. A need, and now a little less of one.
They talked themselves into Carson Steele at the 239th pick, and the board did not agree. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
They reached a country mile for Julius Welschof at No. 248, and the board is aghast. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
