Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Packers were there to profit. JD Bertrand, the No. 189 name on the board, should have been long gone before slot 219. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

If Allen pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. With quarterback and wide receiver unsolved, spending premium capital on safety is the choice that costs them.

The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
