There is reaching, and then there is Carson Steele at slot 234. The Texans jumped the board by 60 and dared it to prove them wrong. The process wobbled, and the D- is where it lands.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. However the rest shakes out, Egbuka at that price is a win they earned. The Texans paired the rookies with proven help, Fred Warner leading the way.

They left with running back solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
