The weekend has a hole in the middle of it named edge rusher, a need the Seahawks walked right past. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.
The cost of the Baynes reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.
The back end got a real overhaul.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 32nd pick they get a lockdown presence outside at fair value.
A tidy little value on Jake Slaughter in pick 64, a step better than break-even. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Bryce Lance in slot 96 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
