This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Jase McClellan, the No. 189 name on the board, stolen at No. 229.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. If Nugent pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
