Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Packers spent the 230th pick on DeMonte Capehart, a name the board had a full 130 spots lower. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is Gore Jr.. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. The skill positions did well by the weekend.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
