The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Commanders spent their marquee pick on Caleb Williams, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.
The King pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. Reaching for Bell left real value on the table behind him.
The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Caleb Williams and all.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 9th overall pick they get their guy under center for the next decade at fair value. A real need, handled.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Amarius Mims in slot 34. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.

They robbed the room for Javon Bullard here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Brenden Rice at the 103rd pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Nice patience on Bucky Irving, who had no business lasting to pick 104. It fills a real need, too.
Jaheim Bell at the Round 4 slot is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Good price on Isaiah Adams in Round 4, Pick 33, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
You do not let a wide receiver like Jacob Cowing reach the 136th overall pick and blink. They did not. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
