The tape said wait; the Packers did not. John Emery Jr. went at pick 253, a good 78 picks before the board was ready. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is Jones. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Bullock pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with edge rusher, quarterback and other spots still on the board.

They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
