You could see the war room lean forward. Kool-Aid McKinstry at pick 103 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. It holds up to a second look, which is why it earns the A.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. The Abrams-Draine pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at edge rusher, interior defensive lineman and other spots. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

The Patriots paired the rookies with proven help, Sauce Gardner leading the way.
