You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Cowboys did exactly that with J.J. Weaver in Round 7, Pick 24. A weekend that fought the value and lost, hence the D.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. On value alone, Lovett makes the weekend a net positive. They punted on tight end, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, tight end very much included.
