The Vikings torched the value chart for Frank Gore Jr., taking him 34 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted.

The whole projection now runs through Jayden Daniels; hit there and everything else looks smarter. They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. The Vikings indulged a want in Solomon while a need in wide receiver and tight end stayed open.

A whole weekend of picks and wide receiver is somehow still a want. That is a safety worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.

About as rough as a weekend gets on paper, with wide receiver still staring back at them.
