Scouting Report: Strengths
- He’s a quality receiver with soft hands, and Pryor shows a good feel for catching and transitioning upfield in the screen game.
- His initial burst is excellent, and he’s capable of running out of a traditional setup or taking the ball lined up next to a quarterback in shotgun.
- Once he plants his foot, he’s explosive moving upfield, and his 0-to-60 acceleration is enough to catch defenses off-guard.
- He’s not the kind of guy who will define an offense as a runner but can be a star on the ground running behind a zone scheme.
- Pryor does a nice job with recognition as a pass protector and gives good effort.
- Pryor might be able to contribute as a runner with some consistency if used on outside zone runs, but he is more likely a complementary back who, if used properly
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Pryor is on the small side and not a classic workhorse back. Teams should be hesitant to give him a big workload, at least as a rookie.
- Lacks size to be a true power back, will not move piles at the next level.
- Pryor doesn’t have a lot of natural power and won’t break many tackles; he’s much better on the outside than on the inside.
