The Bears did not so much draft Gavin Sawchuk as overpay for him, 142 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. More right than wrong, and a B+ to match.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. Thieneman at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

The Bears clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
