Notre Dame 2026 Preview: A Loaded Irish Roster Rides the Leave No Doubt Tour

Notre Dame went 10-2 in 2025, dropping only a one-point road opener at Miami and a one-point home thriller to Texas A&M before ripping off ten straight wins, only to be left out of the expanded College Football Playoff. That snub became the fuel for Marcus Freeman's "Leave No Doubt" offseason, a message the fifth-year coach has hammered relentlessly. He returns one of the most veteran and talented rosters in the country, headlined by rising sophomore quarterback CJ Carr, and enters the year as a genuine national title contender. The Irish must replace their star backfield of Jeremiyah Love and Jadarian Price, both off to the NFL, but almost everything else that matters is back.
