Moore is the best cover corner in this class, a true sophomore whose man coverage sat at the very top of the position and whose ball production matched it: five interceptions and seven breakups in ten games. He mirrors routes in press, recovers when beaten, and reads the quarterback in zone, taking the ball away in three separate games including picks against Stanford and Boston College. The combination of fluid hips, recovery speed, and length is the kind of foundation a defense builds its secondary around.

The one real flaw is in the run game. His tackling let him down; he missed seven, and his run-support force is inconsistent for an outside corner, which shows up when ball carriers reach his edge. He will also gamble for the ball and give up the occasional score, the trade-off that comes with his aggressive ball skills. Neither issue touches the coverage projection, which is what carries the grade.

There is a long-term shutdown corner here, a press-man cover man who travels with a number one and produces takeaways.
