The Bears looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Dasan McCullough at the 243rd overall pick regardless, 58 picks early. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer. However the rest shakes out, Ponds at that price is a win they earned. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
