Draft Grade — Commanders
Overall
B
ValueB-
NeedA-
TradesB-
FutureB-
No fireworks, just a tidy B for the Commanders. For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Commanders walked out of the weekend still thin at wide receiver, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons. The bottom line is a respectable B.
The Kennard pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. Job largely done: cornerback settled and 2 of 8 of the wish list covered.
They reloaded the coverage unit in bulk.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick29
Rnd1
Shavon Revel Jr.
In the 29th pick they get an island corner at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick61
Rnd2
Kyle Kennard
A premium they did not need to pay, Kyle Kennard a notch or two before his time. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
