You can draft well and still miss the point. The Bears did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to edge rusher, which was the need that mattered most. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.

They went 2 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front. Nothing gained and nothing lost at the table.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
