Draft Grade — Bills
Overall B-
ValueB NeedB- TradesC FutureB-
The Bills checked most of the boxes and earned a B-.

If confidence were a draft strategy, the Bills would have aced it. Jason Marshall Jr. at pick 177 is 27 spots clear of where he belonged. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

A whole weekend of picks and linebacker is somehow still a want. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Burch.

Interior defensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. The back end got a real overhaul.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

Pick Analysis
Pick20 Rnd1 Jahdae Barron
In pick 20 they get a potential shutdown corner. More want than need.
Pick56 Rnd2 Xavier Watts
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Xavier Watts at No. 56. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick109 Rnd4 Jordan Burch
A top-tier edge rusher at a bargain, Jordan Burch in the Round 4 slot, plain and simple. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick169 Rnd5 Nick Nash
They robbed the room for Nick Nash here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick173 Rnd5 Jaydon Blue
Jaydon Blue in Round 5, Pick 35 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick177 Rnd6 Jason Marshall Jr.
Jason Marshall Jr. in pick No. 177 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Pick206 Rnd6 Nazir Stackhouse
A straight-up fair deal on Nazir Stackhouse at the 206th pick, value and slot in agreement. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
