The Dolphins bled value on every deal, hence the D-. You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Dolphins did exactly that with Jackson Hawes in the 224th pick.
The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. It is not that Williams is a bad player; it is that the Dolphins had louder needs to answer first. The wide receiver hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
They banked enough surplus on Harmon to cover a lot of smaller sins.
Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, wide receiver very much included.
