The Bears spent real capital to be 73 picks early on Alex Mastromanno, and the board is going to hold them to it. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

However the rest shakes out, Hunter at that price is a win they earned. The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
