Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Falcons
Overall
B-
ValueB
NeedB+
TradesB-
FutureB-
The Falcons kept it disciplined and banked a B-. Call it belief, call it a gut call, but Que Robinson at the Round 4 slot is 67 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.
That is a safety worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. The offensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Good work on the whole, with offensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick15
Rnd1
Matthew Golden
In No. 15 they get a true top target. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick46
Rnd2
Landon Jackson
Landon Jackson at Round 2, Pick 14 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick118
Rnd4
Que Robinson
Que Robinson in the 118th overall pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick218
Rnd7
Shemar James
They talked themselves into Shemar James at slot 218, and the board did not agree. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick242
Rnd7
Jaylen Reed
Taking Jaylen Reed in pick No. 242 is close to grand larceny; a safety that good had no business lasting this long. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
