Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesC+ FutureB-
A respectable, level-headed haul for the Raiders: B-.

Everything else got attention, and edge rusher got none. That is a strange way for the Raiders to leave a draft.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is Winston Jr.. Amos has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick6 Rnd1 Tetairoa McMillan
In pick No. 6 they get a home-run threat at receiver. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick37 Rnd2 Trey Amos
A premium they did not need to pay, Trey Amos a notch or two before his time. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick83 Rnd3 Quinn Ewers
Quinn Ewers at Round 3, Pick 19 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick108 Rnd4 Kevin Winston Jr.
They read the board right and Kevin Winston Jr. was the payoff at No. 108. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick143 Rnd5 Kurtis Rourke
By-the-book stuff, Kurtis Rourke at the 143rd overall pick squarely in line with his ranking. The roster fit checks out.
Pick156 Rnd5 Nick Nash
No edge and no loss on Nick Nash in the Round 5 slot; it is a wash and a sensible one. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick213 Rnd6 Donovan Edwards
Good price on Donovan Edwards in the 213th pick, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick215 Rnd6 Luke Lachey
Luke Lachey in pick 215 lands just on the right side of the ledger. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick222 Rnd7 Kain Medrano
A market-rate linebacker, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Kain Medrano. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
