The Steelers let Thornton Jr. fall into their laps, and walked away with a B-.

Call it larceny. Dont'e Thornton Jr. sat on the board until pick 231, and the Steelers did not need to be asked twice.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. Quarterback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

A wide receiver of that caliber at pick No. 231 is the definition of value, full stop. It fills a real need, too.
