The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Cowboys reached some 321 spots for Peny Boone, and value like that does not grow back. A weekend of give and take that grades a C.

That Martinez pick is the receipt they will wave around later. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

The trades cost them a sliver of value they did not need to spend.

If Will Campbell and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
