Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Dashawn Spears got past him. The 49ers do not have to explain a thing at Round 3, Pick 28.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. Reaching for Brewu left real value on the table behind him. They punted on tight end, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
