A sensible, unshowy class lands the Patriots a B-.

The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Patriots reached some 41 spots for Quincy Riley, and value like that does not grow back. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

For all the activity, safety went untouched, which is hard to explain. That is a wide receiver worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
