Grand theft in the 170th pick: the Bills steal Sampson and grade out a B.

When a board-topper like Dylan Sampson slides to pick 170, you do not overthink it, and the Bills did not.

They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Spending an early pick on cornerback with edge rusher and quarterback open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. They left with linebacker solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.
