There is real value in patience, and the Saints banked it when Dwight McGlothern slid to Round 6, Pick 17. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. Every board in the league had Johnson lower, and that gap is the story. They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
