Johnson should have been long gone. The Steelers pounced, and earned a B.

When a board-topper like Kaleb Johnson slides to Round 3, Pick 19, you do not overthink it, and the Steelers did not.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through safety. Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
