The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Chargers watched RJ Harvey slide 51 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.

They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly. They left with interior defensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

They trusted the board more than the depth chart.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
