The Steelers cashed the board's mistake on Milroe: B.

Call it larceny. Jalen Milroe sat on the board until the Round 4 slot, and the Steelers did not need to be asked twice. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The cost of the Mickens reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with quarterback chief among the fixes. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick21 Rnd1 Kenneth Grant
In the Round 1 slot they get a pocket-collapsing interior rusher at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick83 Rnd3 Quinshon Judkins
They read the board right and Quinshon Judkins was the payoff at pick 83. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick123 Rnd4 Jalen Milroe
A quarterback of that caliber at pick No. 123 is the definition of value, full stop. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick156 Rnd5 Logan Brown
Logan Brown slipping to the 156th pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick195 Rnd6 Caleb Rogers
No edge and no loss on Caleb Rogers in slot 195; it is a wash and a sensible one. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Pick202 Rnd6 R.J. Mickens
They paid up for R.J. Mickens at No. 202 when waiting would have done the job. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick229 Rnd7 Isaac TeSlaa
They took Isaac TeSlaa at par in Round 7, Pick 13, which is nothing to complain about. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
