Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Lions were there to profit. Walter Rouse, the No. 163 name on the board, should have been long gone before pick No. 201. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

A whole weekend of picks and safety is somehow still a want. Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but safety.
