The Kendall Milton selection is the head-turner. The 49ers reached 196 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

They banked enough surplus on Singer to cover a lot of smaller sins. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped offensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.
