The steal of the weekend belongs to the 49ers and Banks: B.

Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Caleb Banks got past him. The 49ers do not have to explain a thing at the 58th overall pick. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

They will need Wagner to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
